We are looking for full-time and part-time family physicians with an interest in oncology to work in our clinic.  New graduates welcome. An ideal candidate would be one who wishes to do both family practice and oncologic care.

Receptionist

Canadian Cancer Care is hiring a part time receptionist. Potential for full time in near future.

The preferred candidate will:

  • be available Mon and Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and be willing to work later, if necessary. Potential for Mon-Fri in future.
  • have experience with an electronic medical record EMR system, Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, etc), Microsoft Office and Adobe.*Only applicants with EMR experience will be considered.
  • have strong multitasking and troubleshooting skills, be willing to take initiative, and work well with others
  • maintain a caring and professional demeanor to patients and clients

Main Roles:

  • Greet and direct patients as they enter the clinic
  • Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
  • Coordinate specialist and lab referrals
  • Help maintain confidential patient records on the clinic’s EMR
  • Monitor and order office and sanitary supplies
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, including driving to the post office
  • Assist with large fax distributions
  • Comfort patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties and answering patients’ questions
  • Maintain the check-out reception area
  • Assist with occasional laundry and tidying up of high-traffic areas
  • Act as back-up/coverage to MOAs and LPNs (checking vitals, cleaning and prepping exam rooms, etc.)
  • Assist clinic manager with other administrative tasks
  • Other jobs, as required

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum three years administrative experience in a medical clinic
  • Medical office assistant, medical transcriptionist graduate or other similar certification an asset
  • Excellent customer service and patient relations skills
  • The desire and ability to learn and grow with the company
  • Attention to detail and exceptional time management
  • Valid driver’s license
  • English language proficiency is required
